Clash of Clans upgrade history
The January update is a little one, and it is focused on a single thing. Regardless of the nerf in the prior Clash of Clans upgrade, the Bat Spell still remained overly strong compared to other spell options. The amount of Bats spawned has been decreased (again) and their initial assault delay is more.
Each level of this spell now spawns fewer Bats.
Bat first assault delay increased to 1.5 seconds (from 1.0 second).

This equilibrium upgrade is focused on two new components introduced in the December 2018 upgrade. More specifically, it nerfs the new Dark Spell Bats and the new Siege system the Stone Slammer. See below for the entire list of changes introduced in this new Clash of Clans upgrade.

Clash of Clans update: December 2018 update review
Brace yourselves, because Winter is here, and with it comes a enormous number of new content in Clash of Clans’ new upgrade. The December 2018 upgrade introduces the Ice Golem and Bats, each of which will be recognizable to lovers of Clash Royale. Additionally, there are tons of holiday goodies which will continue to come out during the next month.
Clash of Clans veterans can rejoice with the Stone Slammer, a new siege weapon that is available at TH12. It drops boulders that deal massive AoE damage to guards, and like other siege machines, it homes Clan Castle troops to boot!
