How to make a 16 player lobby in Fortnite

The Avengers are about epic team-ups so it makes sense that Fortnite has added the ability to produce your own supergroup. With the advent of the Avengers: Endgame crossover LTM (limited time mode), Fortnite players are now able to make 16-player lobbies so you can keep the whole team together during huge conflicts. Here’s the way to assemble your 16-player crew.

How to make a 16-player Fortnite group

From the lobby menu at Fortnite, look down and you will notice a new button that says”squad formation.” Here you’ll see four group formations, including the Bear Squad, the Crab Squad, the 4-player Llama Squad, and the 16-player Dragon Squad. You don’t need the amount of players to achieve each tier. You simply have to have players to fill the previous squad and then one more participant to push over you.

How does this work?

Next time you log in to Fortnite, you will see a new tab at the bottom called’Squad Formation’ where you will have the ability to discover the normal squad. There are three squads too – five members are needed by Crab Squad, nine are needed by Bear Squad and Dragon Squad needs at least 13.

The Large Party format works pretty much exactly how you’d expect it to – just keep inviting friends before the limit is reached. The squad names do matter but they do seem cool.

Keep in mind that, even though it’s possible to create these parties that are large, if you attempt to go into a style like Duos or Squads with more than the normal number of players you’ll be blocked from doing so.

Party Support is here. This includes Creative Mode.

Drop into the party now!

Your primary menu screen will get busy with 16 players inside and we imagine it could get chaotic if voice chat is busy at exactly the same time.

Some hectic LTMs are run by fortnite quite often if you’re on to check out everything, so this feature will get a good deal of use.

What LTMs support Large Party?
Any LTM that allows you to get more than a 4-player squad will support this new Big Party format.

This means that presumably, these will be

Final Fight
50v50
Teams of 20
Infinity Gauntlet/Endgame
Team Rumble
Soaring 50’s
Driftin’
Food Fight
Disco Domination
So don’t expect to try the Party mode on all of 23, some of those LTMs are probably retired for good.

So it is possible we will see an even larger mode in the future that takes advantage of this feature epic Games likes to add new LTMs
